Global ColorOS 11 announced, rollout schedule released
As expected Oppo unveiled its latest Android UI overlay dubbed ColorOS 11. As the name implies, it’s based on Android 11 and makes Oppo one of the first manufacturers to bring its UI up do date with the latest build of Android. We also got the full rollout schedule for 28 Oppo phones.
Visually, ColorOS 11 look even more streamlined than its predecessor ColorOS 7 with its own unique styling and more customization options for users. You also get all the new Android 11 standout features including one-time permissions, grouped message notifications and media controls.
Oppo is bringing a new animation engine called UI First 2.0 which promises better RAM utilization and improved frame-rate suitability. Dark Mode now comes with 3 color schemes with varying darkness intensity and it can be adjusted to match your home page icons and wallpaper. In addition, Oppo is finally bringing a true Always-on Display which features lets you design your own patterns and colors.

FlexDrop allows you to resize supported apps into a floating window or an even smaller mini-window for easier multitasking.

Another interesting feature is the 3-finger translate gesture which was developed alongside Google. It brings instant translations to any content on the screen without the need of leaving the app.

Super Power Saving Mode brings users access to six apps which can run for prolonged hours when the battery hits 5% or lower. Oppo claims up to 12 hours on standby, 1 hour of phone calls and 90 minutes of texting. Battery Guard monitors power voltages and your charging habits to prevent battery degradation over time.
Oppo Relax 2.0 is here to bring you unique white noise mix from cities around the world like Beijing, Bangkok, Tokyo and Reykjavik. You are also free to create your own background noise sounds.
Oppo will release the ColorOS 11 update in two rounds – a global version based on the Android 11 beta which starts today for the Find X2 series followed by the Reno3 and Reno 4 series later this month.
European Oppo users get separate release schedules which start November in Eastern Europe and December for Western European users.
